Conversations are the “Leatherman” multi-tool for shaping relationships. What we say, how we say it, what we express without words, and even what we don’t say are critical when it comes to how other people feel in our presence and assess whether they can trust and collaborate with us.

Self-awareness is the foundational competency for leader effectiveness. Purpose engages human aspiration, creativity, and energy.  People will work really hard for a purpose they believe in.  Leaders have to be able to see and speak compellingly to the connection between work and purpose.

Reflection is the leadership muscle that enables all others.  Pausing to reflect and ask what, why, what if, and how, enables us to learn from experience.  Without reflection, we are reactive, rather than intentional.
